Design and Documentation
The Oakura Boardriders Club had been working hard for some time towards building a new skatepark in Oakura for the local and wider community. Their existing facility was damaged and aged so needed replacement with a new facility that would be more relevant to the users in the area. This concept design included a new flow bowl with steel and pool coping to cater for beginner to advanced users. Also included was a pump track link connecting the new to the old skatepark and remedial/ addition works to the old facility to increase its usability.
"The facility was elongated due to the characteristics of the site. The Skate Path was a great idea that allows for a 120m long flow line with a diverse range of obstacles."
