The Havelock North Skatepark was designed to connect with the landscape of the Hawkes Bay Region while being functional in it's form and consistency. From its Skate-able art features that cascade like the jagged mountain ranges that spread from Te Mata Peak, to the use of local limestone aggregate in the feature walls and skateable features. This environment provides a range of fundamental features giving the users the steeping stones to a broad range of ability.

"The facility was elongated due to the characteristics of the site. The Skate Path was a great idea that allows for a 120m long flow line with a diverse range of obstacles."
