Exciting progress is being made at the Maclean Park Skatepark Renewal in Paraparaumu! Over 50% of the course is complete, and the Skateable Art is formed up and nearing the pouring stage. Angus McMillan Concrete is delivering impressive finishing and detailing that will surely impress come opening day.
This renewal transforms the old skatepark into a modern facility featuring a Flow Bowl with Tiles and Pool Coping Extension, a multi-platform street area with a variety of ledges, rails, banks, pole jams, manual pads, and stair sets. Additionally, there will be a double-level jump box setup and a multi-leveled mini ramp with spines and hips, designed for users to enhance their skills and engage with the surrounding wheeled play environment.
We're on track for completion before the end of the year, with an opening day tentatively scheduled for mid-December! So, please hold your horses if you're thinking about jumping the fences—any potential damage could delay the opening.
